The patient worked during the week so the doctor had agreed to come in on a Saturday. This patient went into shock on the table. I was scared to death. I called 911 then got the crash cart with emergency medications. I got a needle that we gave injections with and used it for the IV. The doctor pushed the medications through the IV. The patient improved quickly. I was so relieved. He started chatting with the doctor while we waited for transport. The patient said to the doctor. If you didn’t have such young and beautiful nurses here, I would not have gone into shock.
